Paul Fischer was the editor of the Journal of Family Practice for many years. His own research often had a humorous twist to it. (He did the study showing that preschoolers recognized Joe Camel as often as Mickey Mouse.) The following article has a great table, entitled "An index for evaluating the quality of research questions". Points are given for "The research question could be understood by a 7-year-old". Points are taken away for "It was suggested in a recent NEJM article to be a 'fertile area for future research'". Enjoy!
