Description of Resource
The Powerpoint slide set is meant to help fellow family medicine educators train their students, residents and faculty in communication skills at the interface of quality and efficiency, to develop effective teaching methods including direct observation using a structured observation from (PCOF- Patient Centered Observation Form) and to promote competency assessment in general. In addition to the slide set I include an observation form for physicians and for medical assistants and nurses along with a document that describes most of the PCOF categories.
